Patrick Noël EARL

Although Patrick, an INRAE engineer (National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment), was trained as a researcher, at the winery he has chosen to focus on the vines and the grapes up to the winepress, letting his enologist daughter Julie express herself in the winemaking process. In Pouilly, work is authentic.

Patrick achieved his goal of regrouping the family lands which had been divided among heiresses. The terroir was reconstituted under the Noël name, for reasons of heritage and matrimonial obligation felt by this hurdy gurdy player. He used to get the villagers dancing the lively “bourrée”, is a devotee of nineteenth century French novelist George Sand’s locally set The Master Pipers, and is in love with the folk arts and traditions of the Berry area. As for badminton-crazy Julie, she has drive!
