Tinel-Blondelet

The Salic law excluding women from the French throne has no place in the Blondelet family! Annick Tinel’s land came to her from her father and her mother. She started working it right after graduating with a diploma in enology and viticulture from the Lycée viticole wine school in Beaune, where she was one of only two women in her class! Her husband was from the French Ardennes (think Battle of the Bulge) – he became an enologist. Widowed far too soon, she took on the management of the vineyard while raising her then seven-year-old daughter.

Marlène is now ready. After completing her higher education at the ESDES Lyon Business School, gaining experience in England, Germany, and Australia, in retail and in the Beaujolais, she returned to the winery. She is now in charge of the commercial side while fine-tuning her technical knowledge.

And as if that weren’t enough, they both hike the GR (Grande Randonnée) long-distance trails, and take peaceful sunset canoe rides down the Loire river …
